This is a question that even top-notch scientists can't even answer...
as humans, we are all prone to fall in love at some point in our lives...
The question "why do fools fall in love?" is one that I have been asking myself consistantly
for a while now...it also led me to analyze the phrase "love is blind".
People don't expect to fall in love, I feel as though it is something that just happens...and one cannot completely fall out of love either...you may tell yourself that the emotions are gone, yet deep inside there is still a longing for your better...or worse half.
Indeed love is blind; there are people in abusive relationships that decide to stay due to their "love" for the abuser...
...that's what led me to actually wonder what love really was. Of course there are differen't types of love...the love you have for a family member, the love you have for a color, favorite food, genre of music...and then that feeling of longing, compassion, and a random surge of emotion towards one individual.
Indeed, if love is blind, what can it drive us to do? We can be in relationships with HORRIBLE people and not realize it due to the fact that we are SO blind-sided by love...
or even worse, you could have someone continously hurt you emotionally without you batting an eyelid because you are "in love" with that person...
Love is a two way street. Just because you may love a person, does not guarantee that the person will love you back...and you cannot expect to MAKE someone love you---that would just be some weird OBSESSED type scenario.
A person that loves someone would not cause them hurt or pain...would not lie...and would not continuously abuse their trust just because they know that they will be forgiven. Honestly, if that's your take on what love is...then you need to re-examine yourself.
However, at the end of the day, I ask you this::: What is love? What is it to BE in love? and Why do fools fall in love
